Nike Unveils .”Swoosh” Air Force 1 – Its First Physical Shoe Release Referencing the Virtual Platform

As the lines between the digital and physical world continue to blur, Nike has taken a step forward by incorporating its virtual platform .Swoosh (pronounced “dot Swoosh”) into a physical sneaker release. The first look at the “.Swoosh” Air Force 1 has been revealed courtesy of @US_11 on Twitter.

This innovative footwear iteration showcases a minimalistic two-tone design on a tumbled leather upper, incorporating a white toe box with black quarter panels and a heel counter. Notably, the brand has replaced the customary Swoosh logo on the tongue tag and dubrae with the new .Swoosh branding. Additional details include unique embroidery on the heel counter featuring the text “this is not a JPEG”, encircling the .Swoosh logo. The design is completed with a white midsole and an icy translucent outsole.

While the initial glimpse of the shoe was provided by @US_11, Nike has yet to announce the release details for this “.Swoosh” Air Force 1 Low.

UPDATE (10/03): Nike has disclosed further details regarding its inaugural physical .Swoosh product. Officially christened the Air Force 1 Low “Tinaj”, the pair is scheduled for release on October 20 at a retail price of $120. However, not all customers will have the opportunity to purchase these sneakers.

Only .Swoosh members who have previously purchased and unveiled at least one “Our Force 1” box will be granted access to the “Tinaj” pair. Members who have bought but not yet revealed an “Our Force 1” box will have until October 16 to do so, thereby becoming eligible to purchase the “Tinaj” Air Force 1 Low.
