Released in early 2020, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Pine Green 2.0’ comes in a simple colorway of Pine Green and Gym Red on a black template. When Peter Moore designed the first Air Jordan in 1985, he wanted to provide support for the dynamic superstar with the freakishly athletic game?without sacrificing comfort. He designed a high-top shoe with durable leather featuring upper eyelet straps, heel and midfoot overlays, and a perforated toebox. The history of flight had begun.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Prototype’ showcases sharply contrasting color stories between the collar and the rest of the upper. The latter combines a white leather base with reinforced overlays in tan nubuck and grey and black leather. Vibrant shades of blue distinguish the collar, marked with wraparound perforated detailing that indicates where wearers will need to cut if they opt to convert the high-top silhouette into a low-top. An orange mini-Swoosh is embroidered atop the toe box, matching the woven Nike Air tag affixed to the black nylon tongue.

Crafted in white and gray smooth calfskin, the style is adorned with white Dior Oblique Galaxy leather inserts on the sides. This pair comes in a dark blue, light blue, and white colorway and, here, the “NIKE AIR” branding on the tongue has commonly been replaced with Jumpman logos, while the line’s wings insignia has moved to the lower heel from the ankle tab.
